Drinks and baked goods are lovely, but presentation and service def makes it. It’s super cozy albeit a bit of a pain to find on google maps which will direct you to multiple different buildings going directly past it before you can find the door. But again, the placement gives a really great visual appeal so it’s totally worth it.

Super funky yet chill vibe. Small curated selection of delicious pastries. It was great to be offered the chance to get one heated up (without having to ask!)Cappucino was spot on. Would suggest having simple syrup available at the counter. Fun engaged cool staff too

A lovely place! I ordered the latte with the cardamom syrup and it was amazing! The food menu is incredible and they do have gluten free bread. The staff was so kind, I had asked about the gluten free bread before ordering and they fully explained the cafe’s gluten free handling process to me. It was such a kind gesture. The cafe has a great community atmosphere and it’s very enjoyable to sit and have a coffee. Before I headed out, I had to order another latte to go! Great service and amazing coffee/food! Definitely a gem on Hertel and an incredible addition to the Buffalo cafe scene!

I stopped by Café Bewilderment today for the first time and it instantly became my new go-to spot. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy, and really welcoming. I sat at the bar and asked the woman working there if it was okay to sit even if I wasn’t ordering alcohol, and she was so kind. She said, “Of course you can sit here! You don’t have to order food or coffee just stay as long as you like.” That immediately made me feel comfortable. I ordered a cardamom latte and a warmed lemon blueberry scone (around $14), and both were incredible. The coffee was smooth, the flavors were perfect and rich, and the scone was delicious. I stayed for about two and a half hours to finish some work and loved every minute. The staff were genuinely friendly and the vibes were amazing. I visit cafés often in both Toronto and Buffalo, and this one really stands out, the energy here just makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. Can’t wait to come back and try their brunch menu!

Really enjoyed our visit to Cafe Bewilderment. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and had a unique vibe that made it a great spot to relax for brunch. The drinks were excellent, and both the pancakes and the hot honey burrata were standout dishes that we’d absolutely order again.

Could not recommend this place enough. My husband and I split the pancakes and breakfast sandwich on sourdough with bacon… floored on every mark! The bread tasted like it was baked that morning. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Pancakes were a fun twist on classic pancakes that we really loved. I also got a latte with cardamom house syrup, I loved the coffee so much I had to get another one! They use Stumptown beans, some of my favorite. The service was incredible, you order at the counter and they bring you your food at your table. They are so diligent in clearing dirty dishes when you’re done if you’re staying for a long time, they encourage conversation and enjoyment of each others company. Not too loud and just the right atmosphere. They even say laptops and WiFi are banned on the weekends, which I kind of love. Really encourages you to be present and have conversations rather than the work work work culture we live in today. Gosh I could go on forever! Just love this place!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The iced latte with the house made mocha (half-sweet) was impeccable, not too sweet and a deep chocolate flavor. I don't usually like flavored/sweetened coffee. Literally, the woman next to me makes a tiny moan every other sip she takes of her coffee. 😂⚰️💀 But she's not wrong. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing I didn't like, which is basically the same issue most places, the gluten free bread is probably Udis. It's always nice to have the option but I should have asked and given the bread a miss like I usually do. The pickled blueberries and asparagus with the hummus is outrageously flavorful. I'll definitely return here in future trips to the area. The art on the building! The vibe inside! I can't get over it.
